Pedagogy (Children’s Learning)
In pedagogy, the learner is dependent while the teacher takes the entire responsibility to lead the learning. Hence, it is a teacher-centered approach.
Andragogy (Adult Learning)
In andragogy, the learner has more independence while the teacher acts as a facilitor or guide. Hence, it is a student-centered approach.
Heutagogy (Self-Directed Learning)
In heutagogy, the learner is motivated to satisfy the need for competence while the instructor only sets outcomes and provides guidance and formative feedback.
