These are assessments and tests designed to measure students’ performance against a fixed set of criteria or learning standards. This score is independent of how other students are performing.

Norm-Referenced Testing (NRT)
Norm Referenced testing compares a student’s knowledge or skills to the knowledge or skills of the norm group. This is determined by comparing the score against the performance result of a selected group of test-takers.
